Singapore is a multicultural metropolis and is one of Asia’s hottest tourist destinations. The movie Crazy Rich Asians left a lot of people (myself included) wanting to experience firsthand a taste of its glitz and glamour. Some highlights include distinguished architecture, abundant shopping options, and delicious hawker fare. If you’re considering a trip to Singapore here are 10 photos to inspire you to visit.
I spent several days in Singapore on my very first overseas trip. Till this day I still rave about how impeccably clean it was especially for a city.
There’s plenty to do in Singapore so you won’t have any trouble filling your itinerary. Take a stroll at the waterfront promenade around Marina Bay. Get some retail therapy at one of the many shopping centers. Enjoy some outdoor activities at Sentosa. If you want to splurge a little book a night at Marina Bay Sands and take a dip in their world-famous infinity pool.
Singaporean cuisine is ethnically diverse with a rich blend mainly of Chinese, Malaysian, and Indian influences. The hawker center scene is like no other and is a great option for cheap authentic eats. Some local must-eat dishes include chicken rice, satay, laksa, and Hokkien prawn mee.
Singapore will always be a memorable destination for me because it was a part of my first ever international trip. If I get a chance in the future I would love to visit again and see the iconic Supertree Grove at Gardens by the Bay.
