Paris is one of Europe’s hottest tourist destinations. It’s a dazzling fashion capital and is well-known for being one of the most romantic cities in the world. Some highlights include a variety of fascinating museums, decadent pastries, and historic landmarks. As if you even need any convincing, here are 10 photos to inspire you to visit Paris.
The first time I traveled to Paris was in 2013 on my first trip to Europe and I spent over a week there. The second time was in 2018 when I made a pit stop there during my solo-backpacking trip around Europe.
There are a ton of things to see and do in Paris. Head to the top of the Eiffel Tower for magnificent views of the city. Admire exquisite artwork displayed in the Louvre Museum. Enjoy a cruise down Seine River for a unique vantage point. Tour the royal Palace of Versailles along with its beautiful gardens. Witness the city illuminate at night. There is an endless list of attractions to fill your itinerary with.
Paris is renowned for its delicious pastries. Some must-eat items are flaky pains au chocolat, tasty crepes, colorful macarons, and fluffy cream puffs. My personal favorite is mouth-watering chocolate eclairs.
Paris will always be a memorable destination for me because it was my introduction to travel in Europe. Everyone is constantly raving about it so come experience the City of Light for yourself. It’s full of character and there really is no other place like it!
